In just two days, the first of our students at Kilve Court in Somerset will be testing the brand new L1 tag kits.
They will be designing their own tagger frames from scratch, learning about CNC machining, 3D printing and much more.
During the week long course they will not only build their laser tag units, but test and modify the code as their first dip into Arduino programming.
Of course they won't just be working. Kilve Court Residential Activity Centre boasts all kinds of terrains and landscapes to test their equipment in. Urban, buildings, woodland and even a maze. Surprises are in store as we have also built some new equipment for them to use too.
Respawn points, charge and shield crates, mission maps, radio communications equipment and maybe a few pyrotechnic surprises await them.
